Ok, while on this subject. My dealer kept my racetuner key and has now lost it. Anyone know if, (I convince him its his fault and I get an new tunner) will the new tunner work on an already tuned engine? I am figuring YES as the tunner key is modified permanently and hopefully NOT the Eprom or whatever gets the map information.
Not sure what you mean by 'key', but when connected to the bike with the Tuner, the software will allow you to save the current map. But you'll need the cables and Super Tuner software, which are:
The "key" it the most important part. It is the interface between the bike and the computer cable. A lost "key" and your up a creek . . . basically sitting beside me !

See my uploaded pic in the previous message.
Ah, the VCI itself. So, yeah I'd say if he lost it, then he needs to replace it. I put a label on mine so that it's clear which is mine. Get 2 or more of the same together and they could easily get mixed up.
for 459 dollars I wouldnt leave mine at the dealer, hope he is gonna give u a new one for free since he lost it. I keep mine locked up in my tool box. and if you ever go on a trip and have a problem , what ever dealer you go tro for help, they will need it to work on your bike
I am heading in this week to see if I can convince him he owes me, however this dealer has a reputation of not being fair.
I still wonder, If I were to buy a TTS product, would I be able to read the map that is already loaded in my eeprom keeping in mind this is NOT the factory map anymore, it is a map loaded by the harley dealership when they did the rebuild using the RaceTuner product.

I asked this same question recently concerning the SEPST and the answer was NO. I am thinking it may be the same answer concerning the TTS Product.

The TTS will allow you to save the map that is installed in your bike. You will not be able to see it or modify it. You can reinstall it if you need to and you can view the calibration id and reprogram the new TTS map with it. Now the dealer thinks you are running their map which may help with warranty. You can not save your installed map with the SESPT, but the dealer should be able to give you a copy of the map they built for you. Only problem is I haven't seen a dealer around Vancouver that knows how to tune.
