Just ordered Rinehart slipons for my Limited, Dealer said they were on backorder but couldn't give me a time frame since the supplier , Custom Chrome, isn't open on Saturdays, anyone know what the wait is right now for a set of these, chrome with black tips? Any thoughts on how to get them quicker if HD's wait is excessive?
A friend of mine has a set of Rinehart's that are only a year old. The chrome is flaking off the mufflers. After a lot of screaming and hollering he got them to sell him a new set at a discount. My friend has been waiting over a month already. Apparently Rinehart was having quality issues with their old chrome platers. From what I understand they have since started working with a new company for plating and are having a hard time meeting the demand.
Rinehart's are only sold direct now. Call them up. Anything left through a catalog would be old stock from the old manufacturer (Bub).

These were ordered through Custom Chrome, Rinehart has a new deal with them, I went to dealer to day, and they told me that the pipes are being made as they're ordered and that Custom Chrome said they would be ready "any day now", not certain what that means but dealer said that's better than "backordered". Anyway he said he should have more info tonight or tomorrow, I'll try to be a little patient and see what happens.
