I adjusted my drive belt last time, but I had to remove my right side muffler to torque the axle nut. Just wondering if you know where I could get this type of tool, or possibly doing it another way. The MOCO will not sell me this tool, since I'm not a Harley Mechanic, and Kent-Moore resricted selling any to the public. Thanks In advance for any advice.
I use a 36MM 1/2" craftsman socket and a torque wrench on the right side, either an adjustable wrench or the special wrench in the tool kit to hold the weld nut on the left side (using my left foot). Torque to 95-105 ft lbs. I also have the HD belt tension guage, works great.
Yeah, I found that out also. They have no problem selling the tool to measure belt tension, but won't sell you the proper torque wrench extension to do the adjustment correctly. I have alread decided that when I finally do need one, I'll just cut one end off of a Craftsman open-end wrench and have my buddy weld a 1/2"-drive socket to the side, or something like that. I'll figure it out when the time comes.
Just drop the two bolts out of the muffler hangers, pull the mufflers down with a tie down strap and use your 36mm socket and torque wrench. Don't need any other tools than those. PM me if you want a more detailed description of the steps.

Just go to a different dealer or buy it from an online dealer.
Drag specialties sells a real neat ratcheting box wrench for the axel nuts. You can put a torque wrench on it and it works with out loosing your mufflers.
