Default Lighting up the road

Has anyone popped for the HID headlight from Harley? I've changed the passing lights for 90k candles and stock headlight bulb to PIAA. I also mounted PIAA lamps on the top of fairing just to the edges of the windshield. This is a lot of light, out in front, but not to the sides. Will Harleys fancey light do as good a job as some of the newer high end cars? East bound on 287 in Texas had a deer come from my left, just outside of my lights. He/she passed behind me leaveing hair on my back fender. Sure got my attention! Light Force (Australian) is supposed to have some kind of green filtered light that makes the eyes of road critters glow from a long distance. Anybody heard of them, or used them? I ride at night alot and this a priority for me. Function over fashion. My last bike (Beemer R1200clc) had four headlights from factory. I had PIAA's in all four and it would light up the next town! I want more light on this Ultra!
Thanks guys!

You may want to make sure your alternator can handle any more lights, I think you are taxing it's ability now with all the lights you are using.

I ride in deer country and have excellent visibility. HID with PIAA High Beam. PIAA 55W Ion Crystals in the Passing Lamps. I also rewired so my Passing lamps stay on with the High Beam.

Funny you should mention the color. The Ion Crystals have a yellow tinge. Just enough to cancel the glare from road signs, set the deer apart from the brush and make their eye jump out at you.

I'm very pleased with my set up. I also hit a deer at 9AM in July 2005 so I'm aware that while lighting helps, it's not a cure all.

I also have loud pipes and a 128 db air horn!

Bikes e-system better be able to keep up with these lights and more, cause winters comeing along with the e-vest and e-grips.
60 amp alt on this Ultra right? Keeps up good now. Turned wrenchs my entire life, so I'm on top of that part for sure.
First good reason I've heard for load pipes! Useing a SuperTrapp 2/1 right now. It's not load, I don't think so anyway, the deer didn't either.
Yellow lights (low k value) work very well in fog and such. But I seem to like the 5-6k range best for my tired old eyes.
The PIAA's running in the 6.5k range are just on the edge of the blue side for me, but they're worth every penny I ever paid for them.
Looking hard at the Light Force system because of the adjustable beam and changable filters. They're supposed to be very light wieght too. But I want to see them before I lay down my money. Still think HID is the best, but my wallets not happy with that.
