I carry a set of "Olympia" gloves from Alaska Leather for cold rainy days. They're leather and GORTEX. Work great!

So IMO, I'd stay away from them. I'm subscribing to get some better options.
Ditto on the HD gloves. Don't waste your money.

This is what I went with. Haven't went in the rain cense we got them but I think they will work as advertised.

I may invest in a set of aerostich as well, I would rather have one set then multiple sets of gloves that are laying around everywhere.

I have these gloves also. And Burgundy Ultra's review is right on. My hands get wet and impossible to put back on if your hands are damp or they are wet all on the inside. Not cheap either.

I tried a number of waterproof "bike" gloves, all of which were not as advertised. Two years ago I bought some Gore-Tex Thinsulate gloves from Cabelas for around $25 bucks...best damn gloves I've ever bought for the bike! worn then in heavy rain, near freezing rain and hands stay warm and dry.

As usual, if it says it's designed for bikers, then it probably is unsuitable for motorcycle use...

The hugger gloves work very well. If used with heated grips you should be good to go. I rode over 700 miles in the rain and they keep my hands dry. I am not a big fan of the unlined hugger gloves but they do keep my hands dry. The unlined gloves seem to have a funny fit to them but the lined ones fit great.

If you can find an old pair of the Gerbing gloves they are solid water proof gloves and they plug in too.

I always buy gore tex as it allows some breathability which is critical if your hands sweat etc. Cabelas, Sierra Trading Post http://www.sierratradingpost.com/ , Dicks, Gander Mountain, Campmor http://www.campmor.com/ I usually buy at the end of hunting season when they are on sale.
