Maybe one of those donut pads? Friend fell and broke her tailbone, go one of the donut pads. Hers is kind of bulky (pad, not axe!) but might be trimmed down to be less conspicuous.
ice, ice it 3-4 times a day, get a gel ice pack, 20 minutes on, alternate with heat about an hour later. thats the best recommendation, it really helps a lot.....a couple of days like that and some advil and you should be much better! good luck. Ted
agreed, load yourself on neurofen for a week as well and you'll be good to go
I tried the "Gel" pad for the seat and I can guarantee it won't help your tailbone. Don't waste your money...it might seem like it works for the first 15 minutes..but you'll be hurting again right after that. I've broke my tailbone and there's NOTHING you can do about it except suck it up. I'm just trying to save you a few bucks here. If you've bruised your tailbone..nothing except time will help. Just my thoughts and $ .1
I will add to the hi-way pegs being a big help. Get them adjusted so you can take some load off your tail while riding. I`m one of the few with the pegs inboard, can`t stand them outside the engine guards. It also makes the motorcycle too wide that way.
Go to the nearest bicycle shop and buy a pairs of bike shorts. They have a built-in gel pad and in addition the slick material keeps the jeans from chaffing on long rides. I tried them out on a 500 mile ride in May and was very happy with the results.
I had same issue with 07 stock seat but now I have Mustang seat and a HD air cushion on top of it,feels lot better I don't know why I suffered for 23k miles.I rode twice over 925 and 1075 miles trips each day didn't feel that bad at the end of those days.
I'm kinda shopping for a EG ultra classic and noticed that the seats have a rather large depression/hole where the tailbone goes.
Would that kind of seat relieve a tailbone problem?
