dont know how it happened but i started my bike to go for a ride got a few miles down the road. i heard this metal noise thought maybe a loose compensator called dealer told me to take it in. i got there tech took it for a ride came back and said possible blown tranny. still have factory warranty so i said if it is tranny install a d7 baker. they told me all i have to is pay the differance so i hope it is the tranny if this the case do any of u know anything about baker transmissions. any advise would be great cuz i dont want to put anything on the bike and regret it later. thanks guys.
well it is confirmed tranny is gone done capute. so they ordered a new one i decided not to do the se tranny at this point my new tranny will be covered just pisses me off cuz the dealer doesnt have any answers as to why this happend. may be i shouldnt worry about it cuz it is gonna get fixed either way.

Good thing it is under warranty. I'd like to know whether the stock tranny is made overseas. Seems like many components are made everywhere but here. I'm off warranty so if my tranny blew up I'd start looking at a Baker.
Can't say I've heard of many blown trannys. Looking at two spinning shafts with matching gear on each. Couple of pawls and forks. Pretty simple setup really. I'm betting that H-D trannys going bad is a fairly rare occurrence.
