I think you're on the right track. Get yourself and passenger comfortable first, seat, bars, backrest and pegs. My next steps would be intake (ac), exhaust and tuner. After that make it yours with chrome/black etc.
........ on a new Ultra, my top 3 changes would involve adjusting the odometer, 1000, 5000, 10,000 ....... and figure out along the way what else ya need.
I'm surprised that Harley hasn't produced a passenger footboards like what Kuryakyn sells. The Kuryakyn design is the best for passengers with short or long legs.
