Default '10 Ultra.....103 advise please

I've got a 2010 Ultra (standard) and want more zip!

This is what I'm thinking......

1) filter (se)
2) tuner (dealer reccomended one.....PC?)
3) V&H Pro Pipe HO
4) 103ci
5) 255 cams (I think thats what the dealer called them)
6) dyno time.....

My question is....what are the downsides to this, if any?

More vibration at 70mph? More heat?

Thanks for the help! This site is awsome.....a little overwelhming at 1st....LOL

If you're looking for tq down low it looks like a good combo, should be good from 2-5k rpms. If you want more hp I'd go with porting the heads & a different set of cams, it just depends on how you ride & where you want the power to be.

Get at least the 103 kit stage II (comes with the cams) I would also go with the SEPST over the pc for a tuner. Everything else looks good. Pretty much the same set up as I have ...only I have the SEPST and Rinehart's. Don't really notice anymore vibration, and a proper tune will cool it down some.

90% of my riding is with a passenger, so i think that is why they recommended those cams.

The group I ride with are all two up ultra people. Just sick of getting beat I guess. I want to be in the front.

If 90 % of my riding is with a passenger, is it correct to think i should be going for more torque? Thanks much.

welcome to the forum flattracker. check out harleys screamin eagle kit, the part number is 27544, it comes with the .579" lift cams, 10.75 compression ratio, and the newest version of the sert which is the sepst. screamin eagle pro super tuner is their nomenclature for it. while your heads are off though i'd suggest getting them bored for the manual compression releases. they can be very useful when you stop for fuel and the motor is still hot and it sure gives the starter a much better chance of living. the screamin eagle compensator is a great improvement also. the kit comes with the stronger clutch spring also. i'm very impressed with how much stronger mine runs. there are other kits available, headquarters, etc, but i liked the specs of that particular screamin eagle kit. while the cam chest is open it's a good idea to replace also the stock cam bearings with the timken/torrington bearings. they're cheap insurance.
