Default Need help with starting issue

I have a 2008 ultra and yesterday the bike did something odd. I have always started the bike in gear holding the clutch. Yesterday It wouldn't start unless it was in nuetral. It did this all day. I am on a road trip so any info as to the possible reason would be greatly appreciated

I'll check in tonite for any responces

Thanks all

Might be your clutch switch took a dump or isn't seated properly pn#71620-08 if ya need to replace. Have you done any work recently like remove clutch handle?

Thank you...that is the problem. I had a headlight issue (popping fuses) and found it was a pinched wire in the switch housing.

greatly appreciate the assist. Its not a major problem currently, and I'll fix it when I get home from this two week trip

Thanks again
