I bought the kit offered by Hill Country Cycles. 13" cycle smith bars with all the extentions and braided brake lines. Hill Country suggested that I change the handlebar rubber bushings for poly bushings. After the install, and every thing is tight, I have about 3/4 to 1" of back and forth movement at the grips. It could be from more leverage with taller bars. Has any one else with apes noticed this?

i didnt buy these and now its all most unrideable. now i have to take the fairing off again to in stall these.

Not sure which bike, but my 09 already had a top piece. Are your bars only moving at the top end? the lower where the bars are clamped it not moving? With a 13" rise you will see a little movement due to the longer arm of the rise but should not see movement at the base. Mine do a little, but never noticed huge movement. Are they smiths or the hcc brand?

Not sure which bike, but my 09 already had a top piece. Are your bars only moving at the top end? the lower where the bars are clamped it not moving? With a 13" rise you will see a little movement due to the longer moment arm of the rise. Mine do a little, but never noticed huge movement. Are they smiths or the hcc brand?
