that seem a bit high for a sert and dyne. as far as the bars go you should have no problem swapping the over i have the heritage bars on my RG and changed nothing. all the cables and wires are long enough.

$1200 for a tuner and dyno seems a little high, but it depends on where the OP is from.

Here in the SF Bay Area, you need to pay about $550 for a good shop to do a full tune with a SERT or SEST. $100 less for TTS Mastertune or Power Commander.

8 hours is what a set of apes will run. Here, shop rates range from $100-$130 per hour. Perhaps some of you that live in more rural areas have shop rates around $75, but that doesn't happen locally.

It costs a lot to employ someone and run a shop. Even at $100/hr, it's not a very profitable business around here. Employees and real estate cost too much.

appreciate that everyone has to be paid, and a profit has to exist for a business to be successful. Basically told $700 for the SERT including taxes (10%), and about $500 for the dyno. Then I am having V&H Monster ovals installed first. I am one of those sorry few, who want a slightly quieter bike then the V&H that are on there now. I live on a bay, so hard to be sneak out in the morning. It will be a nice initial bill ,lol

I would buy the SERT on line and then have them do the dyno. $500 is a little high, but not too far out of the ballpark. $700 is outrageous for the SERT. Even for Canadian dollars

We sell the TTS Mastertune (pretty much the same thing as a SERT with more features) for $425, a full dyno tune is a flat rate of $250. A dealer about 40 miles from us charges 8 hours labor for a full tune. Our shop rate is $65 an hour. 1200 seems awfully steep, but like others said, depends on your location. 700 for a SERT is way to much, ou can get them online for quite a bit less. For 700 your only 100 or so away from getting a Thundermax.

Wish some of you guys were closer..lol
Maybe they will surprise me in the end with the price, good surprise that is. I just know this is their chance to show if they want return business. I can always go to the indy next time, and of course, start tackling some of my own stuff.

Just a question.
01 should only have 24oz max. And yes you can drain it and refill with the old oil if you have to.

$1,200 for a SERT and dyno tune? WTF Around here that would run you about $600
