Default Troubles

I agree they had troubles when I first started looking. I contacted them and they were up front about getting behind and having some troubles. He was sure things were better and from all I experienced, they certainly were... And the shield kicks *** too...

I thank you for putting in your height.
Windshield size recomendations are worthless without knowing someones height.

Windvest 8" Light Smoke is $139.00
Longride Ultra Flip up 8" is $69.00
Clearview 8" Recurve is $99.00
Can't beat the price.
I wonder what the difference is in performance though.
I have a clearview re-curve on mine. It works pretty well, I can tell the difference.

I orderd a 10" Ultra just yesterday... I had tried to order it over the weekend ,but had issues with the check-out..SoI called them yesterday and Alister spent a good 30 minutes with me before we determined it was my PC causing the problem and not their website.Got my shield ordered and found a partial refund (discount) in my email this morning. Can't wait for my new windshield to arrive.

Sorry about that, Missed it on mine. I ride an 08 ultra that is bone stock as far as seat and suspension. 32" inseem and I am 6 feet tall. I went with the 8 inch ultra flip and it is awesome. Thanks to Texas Fat Boy for pointing that out.

I love the stability with the X-Stream, I'm 5'9, use Danny Grey solo seat and 8" X-Stream. With the stock seat I probable could use a 9" but the 8" works. I haven't tested it w the OL on the back yet.
Relax Dude. I was just making an observation based on the thing I've read about them during development. I wasnt bashing or have a problem with anybody. Thats the problem with postin anything on the internet. Someone always thinkg you are talking trash. Cant see emotion in a post. If you read in my post I siad I was thinking of getting a 8" myself. BTW I'm sure they dont need you to defend them.

I need to keep the wife comfortable, I'm the same size as you 6' with a 32" inseam. She is 5'2" will she catch much wind/ Currently I have a 15" clear shield and while it functions great, I don't like the look. Any input is appreciated.

I've been a LRS customer pretty much since they first introduced themselves here on the Forum and have never had a problem with the company.

I also was a tester for the X-Stream when they came out. Think I went through four different variations until I found the correct one for me which was a 9" (I'm 5' 11" W/31" inseam) never had a problem getting a new one shipped out to me when I asked for one.

Anyway I'd been thinking of trying the new Ultra when they came out with them so I decided last week to go ahead and order one to check them out since they were having an end of month sale. Ordered the 9" dark tint thinking that since I'm running the 9" X-Stream and since the new seat seems to put me up just a bit I should be good .

Well the shield came in a couple of days but due to Alex's arrival I had to wait before I could install the shield. So Saturday turns out good and went to install the shield ooops shield is just a little to tall I'm looking through the shield instead of over it which I don't like having to do. Of course thinking that the Ultra would be the same height has the X-Stream I thought I was good so I had already removed the plastic. Went ahead and removed the shield carefully and replaced the plastic and put it back in the box and reinstalled the X-Stream.

Anyway I email LRS that night telling them exactly what happened and that I would deffer to their judgment on whether the returned shield was in new condition or not, and knowing its a holiday weekend figured I would not hear anything till at least Tuesday. Tuesday I receive two emails from LRS. Matt told me to ship the 9" back and to email him the tracking number and when he got it he would send out the exchange right away.

So to make a long story longer if you've been thinking of trying LRS but have been on the fence give them a try, they make a great shield at a great price.

Sorry for sounding like an infomercial but just wanted to also share my experience with LRS.

Default Happy wife, happy life

Hey Neweb, She has not riden with me with the LRS yet, but we are leaving Friday morning for a 3 day ride. I am sure upon my return, there will be lots of others chiming in on this thread. I will post the wife's opinion as soon as we get back. BTW she is about 5'3" and looking at some pictures some friends took a few weeks ago, the top of her helmet is the same hieght as mine while we go down the road. I will do all I can to keep everyone informed.
