Stalling on idle? WTF???
Last summer it was 90 plus when we were stuck in Traffic outside of Waterbury Conn. We were idling for most of the time, I didn't have a cooler or anything on the bike, (it was 2 weeks old, first road trip), and it idled away, and when I tell yopu it was hot I mean melt the paint off the tank hot!.
Wed. I had the fan on, it was hot, but NOT that hot, the oil temp was hotter when we were stuck in traffic outside Mystic 2 weeks ago.
Me thinks perhaps the heat MAY have toasted the AIS solnoid motor, or something like that, (that's a little bit of hell between tose 2 cylinders, no air movement in there at all.
I was a mechanic and a service manager for Chrysler for 22 years and I hear ALL the B.S. tales they give you, (I always tell them when I at a service desk," I can spot a "crank puller story 1000 yards away". I usually let them finish thier tale and ask tehm, "do YOU really believe that story and better do you think I do"? I do it in a nice way. Just TELL me you've NO IDEA, not a fairy tale)-OK I'll get off my soap box now!
I'm off for a test ride today, then if'n it starts to act up, I'll slip a volt meter in there and see what the story is.
