I have a 2010 RG and want to put lights on my King Tour Pack. Is the wire for the tour pack lights the cord that is rolled up and zip tied off next to my fuse box?
on my 08 rkc.i made a harnes.i took the plug apart where the main harness plugs into the fender harness.place called ride time technology makes this plug for $30.i made mine for $10.
Yes it is a red wire and looks like two blue ones. Next question... if i put the side lights on each side of the tour pack i will have a plug from each light and only one plug for the power. Is there a wiring harness i have to buy to connect all this? Thanks for your help.
If you scroll down the link, you'll see the split harness mentioned in the previous post. Check with the aftermarket vendor if you're not buying HD's version.

PS: HD has added many instruction sheets to their parts and accessories on the website, so it's good to check there for information.
Does anyone know what gauge wire those three wires are feeding power to the tour pack lights?
Just curious, but why do you care? I ask because the lights and harnesses supplied come pre-wired and are essentially a plug n play installation. Do you plan to fabricate your own harness? Or, extend the wiring for some reason?
As for the ga., it's either 16 or 18, but more likely 18. Don't know where HD has any published information on the wire ga.
