I believe if a stereo has the compatible steering wheel control available that it will work on the factory bike controls. The deck itself has all kinds of face plate controls for the IPod but wondering if the basic functions such as above will work in USB mode with the IPod?
Plug the ipod into the USB jack on the front of the Kenwood. You will be able to control it with the radio. The steering wheel module (if that's what they used) just duplicates what the remote does. That particular radio will show the title and artist on the screen and the radio controls take over the ipod functions.

Just recently bought a IPod Nano G5 on ebay for $100. Managed to get 1100 (2.9 days) songs downloaded and plugged it in to the bike. My Kenwood deck has a 24 bit D/A converter built in for IPod and boosts the signal to 105db's. With the IPod volume turned all the way up, the sound is crisp/clear, plays plenty loud and no sonic difference from a cd. I can control volume/song selection from the handlebar controls. Pretty darn nice
