Default CK engine light

Gentlemen/Ladies,
Will a rear brake failure activate a "check engine" light on an '04 RK Classic?
Thanks in advance for any input.
Sam

There is a code for the rear brake switch and there are codes for ABS which you don't have, but what kind of failure are we talking about?

Dawg,
Thanks for the reply. Riding yesterday in this damned NE heat; stop and go traffic, my rear brake started to fade. After awhile, they became inoperative. Got home and parked her in the garage; haven't checked on what the prob could be. Shortly after the brake problem occurred, my "check engine" light came on. After parking the bike, turned off the ignition and waited a bit. Turned the ignition back on and the check engine light stays on. Could the brake failure have triggered the light?
Thanks in advance for the input.
Sam

Check the code and see what the code is.
