Brake lights
My engine light came on today. I checked the diagnostic codes and here is what I came up with.
1. P05725
2. U1016
3. U1040
4. C1094
5. C1214
I know code #1 is Brake switch low. I checked my brakes and when I press the front or rear control the brake lights do not come on. I have no idea where to begin at. Also if anyone knows what the other codes mean it would be much appriciated. Also, how does a person go about clearing the codes? I would like to clear all of them and start over and see if any codes are thrown again.

You can pretty much count on the rear brake light switch being bad. It's mounted so close to the exhaust it burns up and in some cases have actually caught on fire.
If your scoot is still under warranty I would let the Harley service department worry about it. What ever you do don't clear the codes.

Found these 3 in the Electronic Service Manual
A DTC U1016 indicates that the ECM is not capable of sending this state of health message.
Front Brake Switch Always On: DTC C1094
Rear Brake Switch Always On: DTC C1214

Sounds like either my front or back switch is toast. Looks like I will be taking my bike in for repair since it is still under warranty.
