I know how to install cams, I've got the service manual an several links from people who have done it but what I'm looking for are specific instructions for HQ Cams. Thanks though.

I have a set of HQ's in mine. They were no different than any other cam install. What are you wanting to know specifically. I did mine, maybe I could help.

If you have the service manual, that's all you need. No "hold your left index finger like this or you will grenade your motor" specific to HQ or any other cam.

There was a washer with the cams and I'm not sure where it goes since I didn't have any instructions with them, the indy I used to press the old ones out and the new ones in called me an asked if I had any instructions for them, cause it had a washer that he wasn't sure where it went, it was in the box with the cams, I thought it was a thrust washer but he said it wasn't so I"m not sure????

its approximately 1 1/8" diameter, fits over the cam shaft perfectly, no writing on it so don't think its a spacer but don't know

probably a spacer if it's needed for alignment. None came with mine that I remember. Does it have a marking of some sort like .100, .130, .110, .140 or something to that effect? If so it's spacer. Also if it is a spacer, the indy would have known, or should have known. Also I would sorta beware of an indy that has trouble putting in a set of cams. That's just me, cams are a fairly simple job.

No writing, use a set of calipers to check it. Also it may just be a washer that fell in the package before it was closed.
