Default DoBeck Performance EFI?

Is anyone using a DoBeck EFI? If so, could I get some feedback and opinions please? Seems like a good product and the owner is the original founder of Dynojet. Just curious because it is much cheaper than a power commander and I can tune it myself. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

I put one on my 06 Deluxe and what a mistake, dont get nearly the adj you can with a PCIII or V....I would spend the extra 100 bucks and go PC....My dyno guy warrned me that I would not be happy with it and he was right,I had half the hp and half the tq I should of got.......Just not enough adj on them...........He told me you get what ya pay for and he was right...............So ya I not a big Dobeck fan at all......

Pay the extra and go PC dont listin to the parts guy at the dealer if he is trying to sell you a Dobeck like I did...........

I have run one on my present bike for 3 years. It works great for me. With the modifications I have the bike runs absolutely great.

This unit works great for a fuel adder. If you are just changing pipes and a/c, this unit works fine. Had one on my RK for a couple years, never had a problem.

I ran one for a couple years. It will cure the lean running condition fine, but there is no comparison performance wise to PCIII. Spend the extra now or later. Well worth it.

Been running one for years and I like it just fine on my 88 w/stage 1. I'll echo what Ranger said about the instructions and dialing your bike in, but if you go that route there is another forum that has a lot of data on getting the most out of the TFI. If interested, PM me for the details.

Now with that said, when I do engine work down the road I'll likely go the PC route, as there are limitations to what you can achieve with a TFI sitting on top of a map. Until then, this works great and anything else is overkill.

I had one in my police bike and it worked great, for me it did everything I needed and it was very easy to adjust. Only reason I went to a PC is because I installed cams.
