Default Battery went caput!

Not on the bike ........mama calls from out shopping and says the car won't start. I bring the jumper pack and go rescue her. Jump it and she takes off and makes it to a few stop lights down and craps out again. Push it off the road and jump it again and make it to the auto parts store. Here's my vent......I noticed when I went to jump it that it had specific jump posts up near the fuse/relay box. Never thought much of it until I got to the auto parts store. The battery is located in the fender well. You have to jack up the car, remove the front wheel and pull the inner fender skirt off just to pull out the battery. WTF is that! So mama has to run to the house to get my tools just so I can get the damn battery out. Felt like one of those Wal Mart folks working on my car in the auto parts parking lot! 2004 Chrysler Sebring, had original Daimler-Chrysler battery in it. Ended up testing as having a dead cell. Vent over. Well not really, got home and home and fired up the 89 FXRS that I'm working on and things didn't go well there either, but that's for another story.

Hell of a lot of other cars who's battery is harded to get to than Chrysler. In general a battery will be trouble free for about 5 years, looks like you got a one year bonus.

It is getting to be the norm these days for batteries to be in inaccessible spots.

Try working on a Vette, or a Mercedes, the Mercedes battery is under the back seat.

Toyota mini vans also have the spare tire mounted under the middle of the vehicle, not fun to get to in a hurry.

The new cameros have the battery back in the trunk, where the spare tire would be... but it has no spare tire, just a air pump and a bottle of fix a flat.

I just knew it! I got rid of my Sebring convertible about nine months ago.... FWIW, you may want to look into recall notices for that vehicle pertaining to the cooling system.... (That failure was an issue in dumping mine.)

Been there, done that!!!!!!! My wife had a 2001 Intrepid and I had the same basic problem. Car died at Mall at night and I went to jump it and had to read owners manual just to jump the damn thing!!!!!!! Could not find the battery, told her someone stole the battery instead of the car, bad neighborhood!!!!!! LMAO!!!!! Been twising wrenches all my life on one thing or another and have never seen such crap!!!!! Had to take half the car apart to get the old battery out. Thank god I took the trailer along JIC. No wonder I am a firm believer in the "own a bow tie, it'll never die" theory!!

Dawg, get rid of that POS Chrysler and get a Ford. Problem Solved! As a matter of fact, get Your wife the F150 Harley Davidson Edition. She will be very happy with You.
