Personally I sit the bike upright, engine running, front brake on, jiffy stand up. Wife gets on from the left, standing on the footboard and swings her leg over the tourpak.
If my wife was limber enough to swing her leg over the tourpak I would never have a reason to go riding.
Mine mounts and dismounts from the right only because that's the side I get on from and she doesn't weight enough to make difference in balance. EZ up she can get on before me or dismount after me.
The only dumb questions are those presented by politicians.
Don't know about anybody else but being 5'6" and 155 if there is anyone on the back while on the jiffy I just about can't pull it up. Had a friend 'set' his RK down when his wife got on without him being ready. Guntoters idea with the jiffy sounds like good advice, might start doing that myself.
