My 2010 Triglide gets water inside the fairing when I wash the bike. 2 weeks later when I ride water will come out of the bottom of fairing when in a sharp turn.Harley dealer said it was normal and not to worry about it . Harley,s customer service said the same.Is it normal to get water in fairing and could it cause problems in the radio and gauges later.
My brother had it happen to him last month on a trip up to Sturgis....
half way thru the first rain day his head light went out... he had over an inch of water sloshing around the bottom of the headlight.
If your saying that it sits in there and stays there,,, I don't know where,, and this is the first I have heard of it. BUT would a good solution be to drill a very small 1/8" or so, unobtrusive hole to let it drain be an idea?

I agree with you; it seems as if would cause problems down the road if not sooner. I myself will change out a rubber seal that is on the inside top of the fairing. As a tester for LRS I have changed out windshields and had my radio serviced, installed an oil temp gauge, Hog tune speakers as well as sound proofing material on the inside of my fairing, so it has been on and off more than I would like to admit.
I know the fitting of the fairing can be tricky getting it just right...
I would be concerned about any water inside my fairing.
Not normal on my ride 03 EG Standard.I have had my fairing off several times over the years. Had ridden home all day in rain and have never had water in my fairing that I have known about. I would be very concerned about corrosion if the water was in for 2 weeks. Check your rubber seals. I did have a windshield bag that vibrated so intense the center brass insert that the fairing screws go in started moving pulling out causing a opening at the top of the fairing. I caught it in time before water entered. Superglued it back into the inner fairing and got creative with and alternate bag mount.
I have had my fairing off several times and cant see how it would hold water, I must be missing something. Since a trike never really leans over, I could see that it would hold water when a standard bike would not. I think I would have to drill a small relief hole at the lowest point to resolve the problem. HD is correct, its normal, all until the warranty runs out and its on your dime to fix it.
