Mine sounds like the second one as well.

BTW, I did basically the same install as you except on the '08 EGC I put the compressor under the right side cover, no room where you put yours.

The air horn is cheap. I blew out on me after only a few uses so I took it off.

you can get the same horn at harbor freight for $ 19

I just installed my Stebel airhorn and had to use it yesterday to keep our shuttle driver from backing over me on our parking lot. Somehow he didn't see me right in the middle of his rear view mirror? When I talked to him the next day he said, "Your horn sure works good."

Kids also love it when I give them a toot with it. They jump, put their finders in their ears and then smile in wonderment. Much better than my stock horn which took a dive. I got the "chrome" version which is chrome over plastic but still looks pretty good and with a little widening of the mounting hole on the Harley bracket bolted it right where the stock horn was mounted. Well worth the money. Has already saved me once.
