How can you know True Track is working? I asked a wrench who said he had put several on for people and they said the bike still had some wobble. It seems like there could be many reasons for wobble.
he's right...true track makes a 3 part system that will arrest all wobble(provided its not in the steering head)...the stabilizer we all know about...a new swingarm pivot shaft and GOOD bushings(another source of chassis instability)...and a much better than stock or velvaride front motor mount...its on their website

I tried looking at the website but it just keeps going page after page. What did you install and how much did it cost L&M? I also have a SG, an 06. Thanks.
Orca what did the Tru Track guy say is inadequate about the Ride Srt8 that makes you feel confident.? Inquiring minds want to know.......I want to get rid of the wobble too, but have not heard al lthe compelling info on both products engineering. I am impressed that they were willing to do a complete refund.
Fimduc, Will was man enough to offer a full refund right off the bat after I explained my situation so I figured maybe I could push him for a little insight on an alternative to the True track, as I understand it the ridestr8 mount is welded to the pass footboard mount which is cast, I dont think you can get a structural weld to cast, that was the main reason but the threaded rods have no shoulders which puts all the load on the threads, the mount at the trans only has 3 bolts, true trac has a structural girdle & 5 bolts at the trans, there was some other issues but that is what caught my attention, A call to Will would offer more detail.
I am only hearing one side of the story though so maybe somebody that has a ridestr8 can say otherwise.

Good on ya Eyespy...that was a good thread on the RideStr8......doesn't sound like there is any welding to do for the install, so I will chalk that comment up to salesmanship from TT......

RE: Contacting True Track
From the Ridestr8 website, regarding model years 2002 and later:
Stabilizer Bracket Kit
Model years 2002 to present
P/N: SBK2002ONA
Note: Installation requires the replacement of the passengers right hand foot rest bracket. If you return your OEM braket to Ride-Str8 your $50.00 core deposit will be refunded to you upon recipt of your OEM braket. Your cost after refund a reduced $430.00
Mine is a 2000 model, which does not require the replacement of the passengers right hand foot rest bracket. Either way, you don't have to weld anything to install a Ridesr8.
Got to the ridestr8 website, there's a picture of the replacement bracket for the pass. side bracket. It's one piece, you just remove stock peg bracket and replace with their's.
I have one on my stock height RG and its woirking fine. If anyone needs the x-member staightening tool, it's 4 sale...$20 + shipping (paypal), PM me....thx!
