Default 2 into 1 pipe with no tuner?

I just bought a d and d 2 into 1 fat cat today. My question is can I put it on with no tuner for now or do I have to have it tuned? The air filter is the stock one also.

D&D claims on their web page that it does not require a tune. Although after speaking to my builder he recommends having a TTS tune to get the heat out of rear cylinder. I am going in next month for a ac, exhaust (D&D Fat Cat) and a tune.

To gain the most power the pipe can add, have it tuned.
Of course with a stock filter, you probly wont gain much.

Yes you can install it without a tune or tuner as long as you retain the stock air cleaner. I am sure you lknow you won't gain much of anything doing this but like previous reply to get the most from the pipe an air cleaner change and a tune with a tuner is needed.

My buddy ruined the heat shields on his. But he ran it for a year before adding a pcv. It heats up more. I don't care what people assume about leaving the stock air cleaner in. I put my 2-1 on a week before I got my pcv and noticed more heat on the rear than before. Parked it until the pcv was on. Then only waited 300 mile to get a full tune. Worth every cent and worth waiting for.

I am eventually going to do the SE Heavy Breather and SEST when I save up some more money to buy it all anf have it Dyno tuned. I bought the pipe today for a real good deal $450.00 and wanted to put it on for the sound and little gain it will have for now but dont want to mess the motor up.

I would wait and do it right. You can find some sort of EFI module from $200 to $300 bucks, look on ebay. You might cost yourself more money in the long run for a little noise now.
