I am wondering if the power duals make any real difference over the stock system. I have the stock headers with V&H Ovals and would appreciate opinions on the Power Duals. I am trying to decide if is should go with 2-1's or the power duals on my 09 Road Glide.
General opinion seems to be they dont make much difference until the motor is making 100hp+.
what if they are behind a SE 110 on a 09 Road Glide?? I know my stock headers has that massive behive baffle in it.........holds alot of heat besides back pressure.
I put the Power Duals on my 2010 Streeet Glide (96"). Dont have a dyno sheet for numbers, but there is a very noticeable increse in performace over the stock 2/1 system. Love the design of the Power Dual header, as well as the balanced look of the duals on a bagger.
Every time I see a Power Duals post, I feel compelled to offer a small warning to those really lean their bikes rather than normal cruising around.
These headers touch down when the floorboards touch down, right about the same time. A stupid design flaw for some of us. And a pricey one for a few of us.
Having said that, not sure I can speak to to just the headers themselves regarding the power, but I do have them on my Road Glide along with the Monster Ovals, a decent air cleaner and a PC-V a got from Jamie. The bike runs uncharacteristically fantastic. A huge difference in such a plain 96 motor. I'm unable to say if it's mainly the tune (mapping), the components, or the fortunate sum of the package. But it's nothing short of amazing. Very weird, but in a very good way. The bike spanks my 103 bike at all rpm's.
If you are concerned about the grinding issues, perhaps you might consider Jamie's headers. They even retain the OE heat shields. When I'm finished grinding the snot out mine I plan to go with Jamie's.
Can only imagine what kingkingking's motor rides like!

I have only scraped them a couple of times. But being in a right hand drive country you do tend to corner harder turning left than right.
I wonder if the SG lowered susp could make them more likely to scrape?
