I have an O9 Ultra Classic and would like the 4 Way Harzard Flashers to operate when i am going down the road if it is raining and i am running at a reduced speed. According to the manual u can only get them to work if u are going to leave your bike on the side of the road, and they will run for 2 hours. Can anyone help
thank u ANIMAL03 for your answer, u are the only one with enough techincal smarts who told me to hold both turn signals in until the 4 ways come one. I was giving the both turn signals a quick push at the same time and got nothing. I'm not as smart as I look. Thanks Old Mikes' Brother

I really hope we aren't driving down the road with flashers going. Sends many mixed messages to those behind you. Flashers are for when you are stopped only. In a bad rain the flasher and rain on windshields causes drivers to get confused. If you want to put the flashers on cause it is raining to hard maybe you should pull over and wait it out for a bit.

agreed!
except when riding in a PGR funeral processional - we run the 4 ways.

Gotta disagree with this. I've been caught in bad storms where visibility is next to nothing, and traffic slows to a crawl. On a winding country 2-lane, often there's no safe place to pull off. It's S.O.P. To put your flashers on to let the vehicles behind you know that you're traveling below the posted limit. This is taught in both driver's ed and MSF.
It's also confusing to me how they engage on the Limited; you do have to hold both switches for a few seconds. On the 'Train it's a simple push and release.
