The "search" function saved me $$$!
Then trade that fugly bike in for a Ultra. Ride safe friend.
Hey rogerfromco, I also searched some time ago figuring out how to put a gps on my RKC, and mp3, etc. I was able to get some cool J&M speakers for my bars (no fairing / head unit), and wire up some feeds for my gps, phone, or ipod.
I also have the Garmin 350, which is functional, but was considering getting the waterproof version, especially if I could import rides. I did not figure out how to best input a route plan as you described, until reading your post.
I'm curious, by saving various points to your favorites, and then adding them as a destination to the trip, have you also figured out a way to control the route it takes to get you there? In other words, my ultimate goal is to be able to take a particular scenic road to a destination as opposed to whatever the gps might think is a more direct (and usually more boring) route.
Thanks for any feedback on that note. I've used the gps to get where I'm going, or get home, when a direct route is acceptable to me, or to figure out where I am relative to nearby roads or facilities, but I haven't been able to plan a whole ride w/ it because of the less scenic routes it chooses.
