Yup. I commute 30+ miles each way every day and I ride to see various vendors if need-be. It's in Boulder, CO most of the time so other than dodging the bicycle riders who apparently get to decide whether they want to behave like a car (and follow the rules of the road) or a pedestrian (ride on sidewalks plus ignore stops, etc.)...it's nice duty generally.
Oh, I choose NOT to expense those miles...not sure why, but seems like the right thing for me.
i ride mine everyday for transportation. years ago i managed a chevrolet dealership. got a new vehicle every 5000 miles as a demo. rode my bike instead. owner finally just added 500 bucks a month to my pay which was cool.
i would ride it to the out of state trade shows as opposed to flying. just cant beat riding!
I sometimes ride for business, don't have to go far and don't claim the mileage. They won't pay when I don't wear a helmet. I would rather do without the reimbursment than put the damned thing on.
Ride it every day to work, 30 miles one way. Have taken it this riding season, all from Minneapolis to: Aberdeen SD (twice); St Louis; Lincoln, NE... Aberdeen trips were out and back in a day, 675 miles total. Got to ride and get mileage reimbursed. Paid for new tires on the bike & the SuperDuty that way!!
Took my Ultra down to GA for a work conference, which was awesome. Put 7,000 km's on the bike, round-trip. Managed to stay in Tennessee the weekend prior, in Maryville, and had the best damn weekend of my entire life.
