my 96 E-glide developed a 7.3 volt draw off my new battery after overhaul to top end. Have gone through unhooking everything. Connections, fuses, ground wire connections cleaned. took it in and had stator replaced, regulator, fuel pump relay. Finally unhooked the ECM relay and lost the draw. Replaced the relay and back it came, all -7 volts. Any help please on where to look. bike runs w/o engine light coming on? But idle drops way off too. Any help please.....
Check out all of the wiring of the sensors connected to the ecm.
Disconnect the ecm,go to each sensor, disconnect the plug, connect one end of an ohmmeter to ground and probe each terminal of the plug with the other(not the sensor itself!).
You should NOT get a reading if the wiring is OK since there's nothing hooked to it on either end.
If you do register a reading, there's your problem.
Trace the wires looking for a smashed or bare wire.
