I'm using a Motorola V710 Cell phone with a Bluetooth. It works pretty good but not really loud enough for me when I'm on my bike. I'm a little hard of hearing anyhow.
[color=#990000]Why would anyone want blue tooth on their motorcycle? Why not just enjoy the ride without the interuptions. Why the need to multi-task? When I stop, I make my calls if important, otherwise it waits until I get back!
What did folks do in the 80's when they rode. Stop at a pay phone?
Have the cell phone with you for emergencies, otherwise if you can't be disconnected from the phone, then maybe you shouldn't be ridin in the first place.
Is there anything still sacred? Nothing worse than a guy getting a call in the middle of a ride then having to go home because he answered the tele. Emergency... yea right!
Mine stays in the trunk. When I ride, I ride! No calls about picking up bread or milk on my way home or get Suzie some notebook paper for school, or pick up some food for the dog.
Screw that! How about the guys who ride with the phone clipped to their pants pocket? Dummie or what? Like this dude is going to answer the thing riding down the road with a lid on. I know blue tooth will allow for this. No chance of losing the phone is there?
How important can it be? If you're that important, then stay home and baby sit your phone! Ride another day.
I have the Razorwire bluetooth for the Razor phone. I love it, because if I'm expecting a call, I can hear my phone ring, but I don't look like a dufus with a thingy in my ear. The Razorwire is part of the Oakley sunglasses, expensive, but I'm worth it!
I carry my cell phone with me because my 86 year old mother is in and out of the hospital. For the most part, not doing very well. I continue to have it with me.
The question is, Does anyone have the Bluetooth option for use with a cell phone? Just wondering about the sound quality.
Zack asked a legitimate question and is trying and is getting some answers that others, including myself are interested in.
I don't think anyone here is obligated to justify to anyone else why they are using their bluetooth/cellphone. Their choice to use/monitor their phone is an individual choice. The same as it is an individuals choice to not take or monitor their telephone. Each individual's circumstances, since of duty and obligation are different...
Have the motorola modle with the razr phone works good, except hard to hear soft talkers, talk time is not as advertised. But calls are crystal clear, no cords to pull
I have to carry a phone for work, but I leave it in my tourpack or on vibrate. Worst case I flip it open on my belt, they hear the roar of the wind, and know I'm busy.
YOU COULD PROBABLY USE A HANDS FREE KIT THAT GOES RIGHT THROUGH THE STERE SPEAKERS ON THE BIKE.... I HAVE ONE IN MY TRUCK AND MAY GET ONE FOR THE SCOOT TOO
