I installed the lockable push button type.

 

there are two ways to go if you change over to the pushbutton type. there is one which is lockable and looks stock, and then there's the much cooler version which is just a chrome domed button. you'll get many more admiring glances from the young ladies if you use the chrome domed one. changing out from the keyed locking gas door was one of the first mods i did to my bike, and it wasn't expensive, but it sure makes it a whole lot easier than trying to remember which pocket your key is in when you need fuel. for me, it's much easier when i need to get fuel.
