Default CVO Ultra--Opinions

I know this may sound stupid but give me your opinons.
I purchased a 2010 Vivid Black Ultra Classic this past feb.
I just saw the 2011 CVO Ultra Classic and feel like I have to have it. I just love the color and all the bells and whistles.
I had the Stage 2 BB w/ 255 cams and V & H slip ons.
So what do you all think??
Thanks for the help!

I think you need to finish your question; are you wanting to trade? What parts will fit from your bike to the CVO? Will your bike run like the CVO with the big bore and 255 cams?

Guess your right.
I need to test ride the CVO to see how it rides compared to the Stage 2 with camms. I like the ride now. But seeing the CVO I cannot help but think that it will be a much better ride.
Also my plan on the Ultra is to chrome out the front end and all the hand controls but all that is already done on the CVO. Plus the 110 has to run stonger than the 103 BB w/cams.
Anyway any thoughts?
Thanks again.

If you can afford it, do it ($20,000 difference I'm guessing).

You will want to at least get at a SEST for the CVO and they also have a cam upgrade to open it up too.

The CVO's are nice bikes and are probably a better deal than a Ultra with a ton of aftermarket stuff added. You'll get a lot more out of a CVO on trade in no matter if you add $15k to your Ultra.

If you like the CVO, take your loss now and get it!

The CVO's run really poor (comparatively) until you open the air cleaner and exhaust and buy a good tuner. The SEPST is a good choice.

If you would have bought high compression pistons and a cam to match along with a little head work, your 103 would have run really close to the 110" CVO that only has 9.1 to 1 compression and 255 cams.

Not sure I have ever been able to afford anythng I really wanted. but ended up getting them anyway!
I paid about $25K with the upgrades out the door.
the CVO llists for about $37K. Not sute what the SERT and cam upgrade would be on the CVO.

The CVO kit comes with high compression pistons, 259E cams and the SEPST. Not sure if they give your the A/C though. Should make the CVO bike really strong.

Just adding cams to a 9.1 to 1 compression engine will do nothing for it. It needs new pistons to run properly.

IMHO the 103" with the work you're suggesting would spank the living $hit out of the stock 110" CVO.

If you can afford, you should do it. The CVO bikes are really nice, and when you consider everything they come with from the factory they are really not that expensive. My father has a 2010 Red CVO UC and it is awesome. There is something special about owning a CVO anyway, kinda a unique group.
