I'm wondering if anyone has purchased or has experience with these shocks on their SG or EG?I think they come on the 10 and 11 CVO SG.I have the HD Low Profile shocks on my 09 EG Classic now and I find they are a little firm when riding solo without the tour pac. With a full tour pac on the back they are much better.I've fooled around with air pressure but haven't found the sweet spot. The part # is 54680-10 for the new shock. Thanks for any info.
Dan
For almost the same or a little more money, look at Ohlins or Rivco Shocks. They are custom built to your weight, etc. and will out perform no matter what HD Shocks you buy.
I can't seem to get the pressures right on 09 RG solo or two up. I really want to try the hand adjustable shocks but would like to hear some feedback too.
Switched out the low profile rear shocks that come stock on the '11 Fltrx with the premium HD low profile rear shocks. 100 % improvement. Haven't bottomed out once and extention over bumps is not a rodeo anymore.
I have been running the Premium Ride, Hand-Adjustable Low Touring Shocks on my 2009 Road King for a little over a year.
My bike isn't your average Road King, it go's from a stripped bike to fully loaded depending on what I'm doing with it.
With the bike set up for solo with the fairing, the shocks are set zero clicks. The ride is a tad on the rough side on bad roads and in town but I guess I've gotten use to them. Good ride on good roads.
With the bike loaded out with the tour pack and the wife the shocks are set at 3 klicks and everything is good.
I have never bottomed out with them.
I picked mine up on e-bay when the first came out on the CVO's and they where take off's with 500 miles on them. I got lucky an won them for $175.00. never seen another pair near that price sence.
