Default Which Stator

I have been checking the motorcycle parts websites, and there are two stators/rotors( 32 amp and 45 amp) listed for 05's HD Touring

Does anyone know which one is used on a 05 Ultra?

An 05 Ultra has the 45 amp stator, but I highly recommend changing over the entire charging system to Cycle Electric's 50 amp charging system. The kit comes with rotor, stator and voltage regulator.

Thanks, wonder what that would cost, and if it's a coversion I could do myself. Also, I see there are three phase kits, are these any good?

The three phase kit is what I went to on my 01 Ultra. The whole kit ran me almost $400 through a local indy near Detroit. If you feel confident in some basic wiring and pulling your compensator sprocket and primary chain, it's a pretty easy job. I did mine myself, it took about 3 hours. As long as you've got some mileage on your bike, the primary chain should have enough slack that you won't need to pull the clutch hub.

Ok, my indy is suggesting to put on a new stator, rotor and regulator. Not sure if this is the 3 phase system or not. Have to talk to him tomorrow, working midnights and haven't really gotten to talk to him about it. My question is this: If this is not the 3 phase system, is it necessary to put on a new rotor and regulator knowing the stator tested bad? Price is around 400.00 for the parts and then labor. I ain't cheap, but don't like paying for things that may not be needed...

UPDATE: I picked the bike up this morning from Biker Alley at Osage Beach, Mo and must say I was almost in shock at the bill. 1- Cycle Electric stator, 1-primary chain adjuster shoe, 1 qt oil, 1 primary gasket and labor. Total bill
$273.94. He also adjusted the clutch, bled and refilled front brake fluid. I am totally in shock, was expecting 350-450.00 bill.
