Wow, what a thread!
Let me state first that I think this forum is full of knowledgable and very helpful people. I am glad to be a part of the forum. I respect everyone here and I know all love their bike like I love mine.
I loved my 1998 FLHPI right up til I sold it last summer. Now I love my 07 Street Glide. I have tried to hear tranny noise in fifth but just cannot. Must have been all that loud rock music in my youth. (Still like it pumped up every now and then) I like the HD Brotherhood comment. I read and responded to the poll on 07's. Mine is absolutely wonderful.
This particular post, apperantly started by someone who does not own one, is kinda funny. It seems to me in all my reading here the ones who dislike the 07's the most do not even own one.
Of course this is in jest, I find 99% of the post of the people who like to put down the 07's to be of great value, and of course I respect you and your opinions.
Reminds me of an Aesop fable. The Fox and the Grapes.
The Pre 07 owner and the 07. (New title)
One hot summer day a Pre 07 HD owner was strolling through the Dealership till he came to a bunch of 07's just ripening in the display window.
"Just what I need to quench my thirst for torque" he said. Drawing back a few paces, he took a run and a jump and just missed the display window. Turning round again with a One, Two, Three, he jumped up, but with no greater success.
Again and again he tried after the tempting model, but at last had to give up, because the loss on trade up was too great. He then walked away with his nose in the air, saying "I am sure they are a Pig".
Moral: It is easy to despise and put down what you cannot get.
No need to flame me (unless you want to, hehe)
I know some could trade if they wanted to, but why, like I said you love your bike as I love mine.

I bet there is some truth to that . I also that there is a certain amount of the public that will just complaim { I am a mech at a freightliner dealer } They come in with problems that 99.5 of the drivers don't notice or think are a problem. Many don't seem to know they are driving a semi not a 2007 silverado pickup. Anyway often times the most vocal complain about a problem most wouldn't notice
