Default Premium Tourpak Hinges
Went out the other day and bought the premium Tourpak hinge kit for my '09 FLHTCU took about 1 hour to install. Piece of cake, sure makes tourpak feel more secure and they look good too!

Did the instructions tell you what size drill bit to use? I'm a little concerned about messing up the tourpak when removing the old hinge.

I did the same thing over the weekend. They certainly do dress up the tour pak.

Yes, it tells you how to do all of it, including the drill bit size. The most important thing you need to remember is how to protect the rubber gasket. I used a gasket scraper, pushed the gasket down, drilled the rivet out. Make sure you drill ALL THE WAY THROUGH, (don't ask me how I know that) No problem. The best 40 bucks I ever spent on chrome.

Default Premium hinges on cop bike bags....
I installed the premium hinges on the tour pak, and also used them to replace the ugly hinges on my cop bags. They really improved the look of the bags (and the tour pak).

I didn't drill mine I put a cutoff wheel on my dremel tool, and cut the rivets off from the inside, the rivets won't spin that way, and you replace the plates inside anyway, it is much safer with a steady hand anyway IMO.

Excellent idea. The hinges are part of my next project and I think I will give this a try.

I went the Dremel tool route after the first rivet spun out, man they sure look better then the OE hinges.
