Didja ever do something and then find out later you screwed up?
I left the switch on at the office, battery died, and I jump started my bike this evening, using my wife's mini-van (while it was running). It's a pain to get to the terminals so I came on here looking to see if there's some kind of a jump starting harness (I'm absent minded, OK?). I don't find anything about a harness, but there are plenty of people saying not to jump start with a running automobile or you might fry your stator or possibly your voltage regulator.
So . . . having done the "no no", how do I know whether I've fried mine? Wait and see if the battery charges when the engine's running?
