Its the lower back and thanks for some great suggestions. I'm not riding that thing until I get it figured out. A lot of good ideas though. Appreciate it.
How about the Arnott air shock system. I never rode a Street glide or Road King previously but the ride seems a bit stiffer than I expected. Again, I'm comparing to a new Softail Custom.

Don't get pissed I'm just being thorough here. Is there air in the shocks? Is there too much air in the shocks? I have the Arnott's on my 08 and except for the fact I can't seem to keep a switch working (I'm on my third. I recommend that you carry a jumper wire with you in case you need to add air and the switch has gone south), I really like them. I think it rides as nice or nicer than stock. Even compared to EGC's & RG's I've rented.
I'm the same height and inseam as you. You will really appreciate being able to slam it sometime when you need to back up a hill or just want to plant your feet better.

Good point.
I just found yesterday that the bike is dropping while sitting. Must have a leak. Bring it up a bit and in about 45 minutes its back down so that may have happened while I was riding it too.
I just always remember as a kid seeing cars with air shocks bouncing down the road and wonder if a non air shock is a better ride.
Once the back is better i will have to find the leak and also replace the seat. Spoke to several seat manufacturers, Mustang, Lepera, C&C, and looking at the HD Sundowner too.
