Came home with a 2010 street glide.
Had ridden on back roads, but at highway speeds, it is so turbulant that I'm afaraid my galsses will come off.
When I duck down. it is okay.
If I add the 7 inch model they offer, will that solve it?
I went with the 6.5" Klock Works, I love it. It cleans the wind up and the glasses don't bounce around anymore and you can hear the stereo with a lot less volume. I'm 5'11" and on a 08 street glide
6', sit pretty tall - 10" recurve shield is what I usually keep on the bike (and I can choose between around 12 different sizes and shapes - Some of which I rent out for friends going to Sturgis...).
If you can - Find someone with a 12" shield you can borrow and use pieces of tape to figure the right height for you. Use it for some miles - People have a tendency to sit a little taller when they're measuring for a shield - Then you get on the road for a while and relax and find your shield is too tall.
But tape marks rarely steer you wrong if you give it some time...
Just installed the 10in freedom shield. Im 6ft 5 on a e glide. It works great. Performs much taller then it is. I like looking over rather then through the shield and with this I can. The dark smoke looks great also. Good Luck
