Starter clutches
I have gone thru my second stock HD starter clutch in the last 4 yrs since my 95 in build ,Andrews 26 cams and cometic 030 head gaskets. Are the aftermarket starter clutches really any better? Now I realize I probably need a comp release of some type.

AllBalls is WAY better.
However, that starter clutch is a symptom of the problem.
You should really work to fix the root cause ~ why is it "kicking back" during startup?
I'd say with 90% certainty that its a tuning problem ~ specifically spark advance during start up.
With just a 95 & TW26's, you're only looking at about 9.1:1, so compression should not be an issue.

If it were "right on", that build would not kickback when you're trying to start it.
Is this bike carb or EFI?
