Default Another Dyno Run?

So if I swap out my bargain basement slip-ons and the rest of the exhaust for a 2 into 1 set up, does the bike really need to go for another $400 spin on the dyno machine?

I would personally ride the bike for about 500 miles and see how it runs. If it feels OK, then I would probably save the $400 a dyno run would cost.

It may seem to sound and run different but to gain the maximum a 2to1 set up can add, a tune will be needed IMO.
The old tune was tuned for the slip ons.

No engine mods, just the slip-ons and air cleaner.

This is pretty much what I thought.

I disagree totally.

With stock cams and heads i would just pick a canned map out of the sepst list and do some smart tuning.

Its not like you got a 130hp bike there.... You are gonna spend $400 chasing 3 hp or something. poor value for money imho....

I agree. You can drive yourself crazy chasing that last couple HP. If it runs ok, ride it.
