I paid over $300 for the Harmon-Kardin Drive-N-Play to control the ipod in my Jeep. It has a little dash display and sure is a lot nicer than trying to change songs on the ipod. I think I might give this a shot this winter.

i've bought several things from zanotti's that had the 'in store purchase only' disclaimer on them.

when entering the stock number into the shopping cart it comes up at 327.60 with 20.05 for shipping. total=347.65

if you added more to your order, shipping would probably be less. but thats still more than 50 bucks off retail.

chicago hd discounted it to 319.96, but i have no idea on the shipping charge cause they don't give it to you until after you sign in.

but i will say that everything that i have ordered from chicago i had to wait a long time for.

Does anyone know if this HD ipod kit is compatible if you have the built in XM also? It appears you have one more selection spot on the radio when you toggle through the sources. Love my XM, but when in the mountains for most of the day the reception tends to be inconsistant and irritating.

You'd be WAY further ahead to sell the HK radio for $500 or more, take the $400 you were gonna waste on the IPOD connector, and put the $900 towards a higher end stereo that is IPOD compatible.

You'd have a WAY better set-up......................jus' sayin'

I picked up the modular today and tried to install. I'm no mechanic but I should know enough to hook this up. The directions were a POS and of no help. After about an hour of trying to figure out what wires go where, I gave up. My bike goes in for a 5k service in 2 weeks and I'll wait till them. I've hooked up XM and CB modulars in the past with no problems. Why does HD have to made directions harder to read than the install itself?

The bad news on the installation instructions is disappointing. Keep us updated when you get it installed. How much was the connector kit?

Does the cable that comes with the kit reach the tourpack? or I still need to order the cable P/N 72648-11 that is meant for the saddlebag?

I dont think he uses anything for that. Any time an audio thread comes up, he post the same style message pushing his stuff, with no regard to the other uses or praticality.

Never used a CB in my life,........and I don't where a lid, so I don't need an intercom.

I realize that some people need/use these functions,....................however, I never used them in the 2 years that I had them on my factory H/K, before I upgraded my sound system.
