i have the iron aces ipod harness and it works great. the ipod charges and the 1/8" plug goes into the jack in the front of the HK radio. fast forward to now......i got the ipod interface and it's quite a difference. it plays much clearer and louder than with the first setup i described at the beginning of this comment. i really like having access to the artist, playlists, songs, genre, and all sorts of goofy stuff i haven't found yet. it's pricey but it sure is nice to have access to changing songs or albums while riding. that said, sometimes i'll turn on the weather radio to find out what's going on in the area. about an hour and a half later i'll realize that i been listening to the same weather reports and switch to F.M. or to the ipod.
I've had my HDPD for about two years now. About to have to replace my second cable (my fault) but I will tell ya that OTMT and Iron Cross are the only places to get replacement cables. For the past month OTMT hasn't answered the phone or emails. I called IC and they were waiting to be supplied with cables from OTMT. They finally got cables in today but now I have to wait on IC to ship cables to people who bought HDPD units from IC before they will sell me a cable.
Makes me wish I had bought a unit from HD instead of aftermarket.
I've dealt both with Iron cross and On the move technologies and have nothing but good things to say about both. Always been very helpful.
does anybody here know from first hand experience if any if these interfaces, harley or Iron Cross work with lightning versions of ipod and iphone with the adapter from apple?

Ours works fine with the Apple branded Lightning adapter.
Cant speak for the HD version
As Iron Cross Audio stated, use Apple branded adapters and BOTH iPod interfaces will work with lightning versions of Apple products. I've had both interfaces and both have worked fine with the Apple branded adapters. Don't even try a cheap knock off adapter, it's not worth the time and trouble.
Did the HD interface on my streetglide and love it. Did have to read the instructions a dozen times. There was also a long enough cable to run under the tank and over the battery, velcro'ed a luggage tag holder to the front of the rear fender under the seat to slip a nano into and keep it hidden from view.
