I'm not completely happy with my KW bars either, but finances don't allow me to experiment any more right now. I just keep checking the handlebar threads for future reference. I know I didn't help you but just wanted to let you know your not the only one who is not completely satisfied. I think they are a little wide and I'd like a little more up and back. They do look good though.

Its been a while since I did the swap, but to tell the truth, I didn't notice that much difference in finish between the stock bars and the KW.

http://www.flandersco.com/about.html

All the information you'll need about HD (and other) handlbars.

Personally, love my bars off '93 Wide Glide...

Hope this helps.

Same boat here except with a RG. I'd like a little taller and a little more pull back.

Looked at Carlini Flying Apes (looks like they have the same basic shape as the KW +2) but be prepared for sticker shock. Here's a link:

I am 6' tall, 32" inseam and 34" sleave: you would be happy with Wild 1s Chubby WO575.
A little Pullback, a little wider and a little taller. Not much but I can ride relaxed now, not leaning to reach the bars.

For somebody 5' 4" I don't have a clue.

pettifogger1...in the garage and out in the sun I can see a BIG difference in the finish. The SS have an oh so subtle darker hue to the finish plus you can see the swirl marks from the polishing process.

Got a set on mine and they're fine. I don't know if you'd want to try this....but I do remember a post from a guy a year or so back with the same problem. He said he turned the forks all the on each side and pulled each side toward him an inch and said the chrome was fine and they were perfect after that, LOL. I figure if you're gonna dump the bars anyway then it might be worth a try?

Not trying to Jack your thread...but I have a question... does the wrist angle of the stock EG bars bother anyone?... I have been unable to get comfortable with the wrist position of the stock bars...is there a stock replacement bar or bars from another H-D that will fit with the fairing? I'm not into the apes or custom bars...just looking for something that works. Thanks in advance
