Oh no not another handlebar thread.......need more pullback.
Ok now bear with me here. I have searched but I always come up on dead ends concerning what I am looking for. I have swapped out my stock bars with a set of KW +2 wide sweepers. I did the internal wiring thing also and installed a +4" Diamond back clutch cable.
I am looking for a set of bars that have the same width and wrist angle as stock just more pullback in CHROME. I know HD sells a set of touring pullbacks but they are not chrome. Anyone with any constructive input to this? I like the KW's but they are significantly wider and negate the extra pullback.
Check out the Flanders Bars. These are the bars I am using on my 08 ultra. 2 inches taller and at least 2 inches more pullback, I think it is more like 3 inches pullback but judge for yourself. http://www.sideroadcycles.com/Americ...lassic2-2.html They are also the stock width of 31 inches.
Not an answer but a question. I am looking at the same as what you have now for my 2010 EGC. Is the only thing you didn't like is lack of more pullback? How tall are you. I am 6ft and looking for a little more pullback but wider than stock.
I had the same problem. Installed the KW bars and didn't like the extra width. Bought Harley bars 56176-08. They are polished stainless steel and look fine. They were much easier to run the internal wiring because of the way the wiring slots in the handlebars are cut. (The KW bars took hours, the Harley bars minutes.) They are the same width as the stockers, but a little higher and further to the rear. Just got back from a 3,000 mile trip to Yellowstone and the bars were great.
Maybe call KW's and see if they will custom bend you a set? Maybe some +4? I'm am willing to bet that it would be a couple clicks on the computer and that the bars are CNC bent. Just a thought.
