Default Standard vs Classic

I bought an 09 FLHT Standard.
Great bike but was wondering about the stock seat.
It looks like the stock seat on the standard is different then the Classic.

I get about 300 miles before the butt goes to sleep.
I hear people always bragging on how they can ride their Classic or Ultra 600+ miles without problems.

Is the seat on them that much better ?

I was thinking of replacing the seat or going with a MeanCity Cycles mod like I did on my old bike.

Any thoughts / comments ?

Some guys complain about all stock seats and even when they buy aftermarket they need to get one custom made. I can do 600+ miles a day on just about any seat, or any bike. It's a personal preference thing.

Same seats/different stitch patterns. I just added a $25 bead cover to my 09 FLHT seat and it's TONS better. No more monkey butt pressure points.

I think it all boils down to your tush sensativity, and your weight. Plus beads or sheep skin does help immensely.
