08 brake calipers

08 brake calipers

On the brake calipers there are 3 allen heads. 2 on each side and 1 under the screen. What are the torque values for thoses. Yes I have a service manual and looked but cant find it for it. Just found the torque value for the mounting screws that are 12pt 10mm. Thx

The only one you should be dealing with in changing pads is the pad pin;
that's 75-102 in-lbs. pg 1-35

Those tq. values aren't published because, according to HD, they are not rebuildable. Try a chrome plating shop.

Thx, I was just asking cause I got some polished caliper bolts to get rid of the stock ones that stick out like a sore thumb with my chrome lowers and they came with the other three bolts too. I just replaced and put them on tight, so I guess that will have to do. I did do the caliper bolts per manual.
