My Craftsman floor jack broke and I am need of a good floor jack ..I want a 2 1/2 --3 ton.. I Am not buying another craftsman jack there junk I bought one got it home and it didnt work one bit! I want one that will last me for a long time..Thanks for your suggestions!
I second that! Snap-On!!!!!!! I have had one for 25 years and not one issue and still works like a new one. Don't buy the cheap crap. Will only cost you more once you replace it. I have used this one for many jobs and wouldn,t be without it. Walker was also a high quality jack but unsure if there still around.
Snap-On is has always been very good, but very pricey. I have 2 that have been used a lot, i have had them for a long time so they are older models.
Now all of their jacks are made in China; I'm sure they are still decent quality but are most likely just re-branded with a much higher price and you could buy the exact same jack without the snap-on sticker for a lot less elsewhere.
If I bought a new jack now it would be one of these: Hein-Werner They are made in usa, get good reviews, feel like quality and are even cheaper than one from snap on. Northern has the 2 ton model that is a little cheaper.
